Remember a few weeks ago when I shared the plans for my sister's bridal shower invitations? After perusing the Wedding Paper Divas site and the sample kit with my sister this weekend, we decided to change the plans I initially told you guys about. So, here is our final plan for the bridal shower invitation!
Initially, I thought we would match my dress above, choose a clean, modern design like the sample above, have scalloped corners, and use a gold envelope to match the gold foil. Well, after ordering a few samples, we decided that the wedding invitations should use these details instead and do something more bridal and light and simple! We went with this design, which you can see below!
After perusing all of the items, this was a nice cool blue (still in the same color scheme of my dress), but a little more summery and light. Perfect for a bridal shower! We liked the design exactly as it was, and I went ahead and personalized the invitation online, so we could see what it looked like. No, Mickey and Minnie are not my sister and future brother-in-law's names. I just wanted to see what it would look like! :P
By the way, we differed from the image online by choose the square corners instead of the rounded. Just one of the many adjustments you could make to your invitation! Also, we ended up choosing the striped back and personalizing the back of the envelope with the return address on the square flap.
Because we budgeted a certain amount for invitations, and the competitive prices were much lower than we expected, we decided to spring for some of the matching Thank You notes in the suite. Also, since my sister is having a destination wedding, we started to look at gift tags for the favor bags that will be left in guest's hotel rooms.
Honestly, there were so many fantastic items on the Wedding Paper Divas website that we ended buying more than we intended, but still staying under budget! I loved being able to customize and see everything online before ordering the samples and being able to feel and see the quality close up with the sample kit.
I would definitely recommend this process to anyone, especially people like my sister! She liked a lot of items from the website but was a little hesitant to buy anything without seeing it in person. Problem solved thanks to Wedding Paper Divas! :)
