This weekend was one of my favorite craft shows: Patchwork Long Beach! It was a beautiful day by the ocean, and almost-perfect weather because the wind did kick up a bit, wreaking havoc with some of the booths. Eek!
Lots of crafts to see and buy, plus some delicious food and food trucks!
I remembered these fellas from the Patchwork Santa Ana show a couple years ago: Hedgehog Swing! They are awesome, and you should check them out!
I said hello to a few old friends like Kheel's, Hallo Jak!, Pernicious Pickling Co., Peppered Up Foods, p.o.p. Candy, Plush Puffs, Traditionally Unique, Bless the Theory, Santore Company, Third Palace, Maiden Voyage Clothing Co., and Little Gents in Training. It was so fun to see all of the new updates! Remember to check out the Where Are They Now? page for more updates. :)
I saw the gals from Reclamation Dept. again, and they had even more awesome items below, plus a tip on a fun event next week. Yay!
I also popped in on Olivia from atiliay, who had some simply adorable cards!
After the event, I rushed over to my guy's family's house where they were having their annual Lamb-a-Palooza! I didn't want to be a weirdo with my camera, so I just snapped a few pictures with my phone. :)
First, we had a few appetizers!
There was an entire table of dishes that were brought pot-luck style. Yum! And of course, we all had to try at least a bite of each dish. :)
This is about 2/3 of the dishes, so there was still another plate to go. :)
Then, we had dessert. Pie! After that, I was absolutely stuffed.
During Memorial Day, we went to see a movie all together and the one movie we could agree upon was Chef. A movie about food... sold!
Afterwards, we were super hungry, especially after watching all of the delicious food being made. We decided to have some Chronic Tacos!
It's a nice little chain based mostly in California, and it definitely hit the spot. :)
It was a nice three day weekend, and certainly a nice way to start the summer!
How did your Memorial Day go?
