- Eats: Casa Inka
- Sights: Artisanal LA
On Saturday, my guy went to a beer festival with some of his friends and although it would have been fun, I ended up catching up with my friend. We spent a ton of time chatting about blogging and how to get started. Sometimes we are crafty and cook together, but it was just a major gabfest! P.S. - She is the one I mentioned in my Blogging 101 series post yesterday. :)
Afterwards, we met with my family at Casa Inka and had yet another Peruvian meal! This time it was much more casual and traditional. :) This dish was absolutely fantastic!
And how could you go to a Peruvian restaurant without ordering ceviche! For more, including the beautiful and tasty fish, chicken, and vegetable dishes that we ordered, visit The Episodic Eater for the full meal and photos!
The next day, my guy and I hit up Artisanal LA. I was extremely excited to go because this was my first show and I could finally make it!
If you are not sure where the LA Mart is, I think you might remember the building from the giant chair outside. :)
Check out the directory! There are so many wonderful items, but I think you'll notice that the Edibles section is especially long. Yum!!!
I have just a few pictures to share with you today, because I will have a ton of new features for Shop Small Saturday Showcase coming up with delicious treats and beautiful items from my favorite new shops! Here is a tiny sneak preview of one of the shops I visited. :)
Besides the shops I am featuring, there were plenty of other awesome treats to sample, like these delicious jams from 2FarmGirls!
I loved this booth from Wilderess! This is a feature that I cannot wait to share with you soon! :)
Also, there was the cutest baby goat as part of the goat cheese booth. The other baby goats were sleeping, but this little kid was happy to walk around for us!
It was a wonderful show and by the end of it, I had a major sugar rush! At one booth alone, they gave us four candy samples and five ice cream flavors to try. My goodness!
This weekend, I am headed to UniqueLA, which will have a nice mix of items and it should be fun! Also, my dad is having a birthday party and dinner, and we will definitely be there for that!
What are you up to this weekend?
